Default fan motor help

I just picked up a 90 RRC SWB county edition for the wife, clean truck 140k on it. My problem is the fan motor blows fuses when switch on heat, they work fine on AC but on heat it blows the fuse. The PO already replaced the reostat/resister, but it made no difference. Any ideas out there in the land of RRC. Also anything particular i should look for on a 90 RRC?

thanks, drowssap

Resistor should not make much diff, as for max speed the ground is applied between resistor and fan. What about water valve for heater? Guess you could unhook it and see if that was the "addition" when heat is selected.
