Default how to clear the engine light?

I tried 3 different scanners, had code p0500, fixed the problem, now I have no codes but the engine light is still on and also the service engine light is on and has always been on. I can't seem to clear the lights.

Is there fuse I can pull or anything? I disconnected the battery and tied the cables together for an hour or so while I was changing my tires, connected everything and the light still didn't clear.

The service engine light reminder is controlled by a little box with a timer and battery inside. It is reset by pulling off the label and shorting two pins inside, or just unplugging it.

I pulled the kick panel off and I don't seem to have that there, not even the orange connector? I think mine might be 96 range rover, or a late in the year 95?

my bad, this was for a Disco. On A RR that is driven directly by the BeCM, and it turns it on at 50,000 miles to remind you to go see the dealer and bring your checkbook. From the shop manual:

Service Reminder Indicator (SERVICE ENGINE)
Illuminates briefly (for 3 seconds) as a bulb check
when the Ignition switch is turned to position II.
Illuminates continuously when the vehicle reaches
50,000 miles (80,500 km) approx.
