I dont know....
Just like it says. Did a tune up on my bosch 4.6 plug wires was not as bad as everyone made it out to be. On the last plug when I removed it noticed the hole was stripped. Put the new plug in on a angle almost 3/4 of the way in and it stopped. Still not seated. Truck seems to run good and strong but worried about the plug blowing out. What can I do?
Found a little article on it for you. If you decide to re-tap it, make sure you do not get any metal shavings in the cylinder. The other option is to replace the whole head of course...

Thanks Scott I did try out that tap set. Its funny cause I used the tap and cut new threads. I put a new plug in and it went pretty much all the way in just not seated all the way. It starts up and drive better than before. Guess I see what happens.
That blows! They do make spark plug thread repair kits. I've helped a guy at work install one on a truck he was working on and it worked pretty good. I was pretty impressed. Same situation cust. brought it in with hole stripped out and he agreed to try and fix it that way, considering the price of taking the head off and sending it out. We used one that was an insert type. It had 3 different sizes, it came with a tap also. After you put it in there is a tool that also comes with it and you hit it with a hammer to seat the insert. Like I said, actually worked real good.
Well I did it. Still not seated all the way but close. Put the lock tight and a little silicone at the very end by the spark plug. Started and ran fine. Now gonna let it sit for now and hope for the best. Thanks all
I am not sure if this would work but since it is not seating all the way you could double up on the copper washers to help it seat. The silicone will probably melt off unless it is very high temp. A key help when tapping and not wanting the filings to drop is to use something like vaseline or wax on the threads and it will bring them back out with the tap.
