Default key fobs for RR P38 (2000 vintage)

anyone got any sources for Alarm Key Fobs and key blanks.... my stealership wanted over 500 a piece for the Key Fob!!! not really willing to spend that much as im rarely locked up!!

also does any one know if the alarm reset with the ignition key in the door lock is lock unlock lock unlock????? i had the dreaded Engine Disabled error after i locked the door in Miami....alarm went off and had to get towed to the shop, but i didnt watch close enough to what they did....

Supposedly, the dealer is the only source for key fobs for these vehicles but these guys say they can program a remote for you: Range Rover P38 Key

They are in the UK so you would need to contact them and see if they can help you.

As for the alarm disarm procedure, check this: P38A 2 hours and it's already sat on my drive, dead! - Page 2 - Land Rover Zone

Just use the manual key an ignore the remote for now on. It will never go into superlock or completely arm the system.

1 time left
5 times right
1 time left

Enter it slowly

Only dealer has authority of febs lock, it can also change original key which help to control all the essential functions of security. Alarm system have its own system of security which cannot understand easily.

My second P38 came with a fob that was badly eaten up from the battery being left in for 6 years. I sent it to Remote Key (uk), and had the fob rebuilt, programed, and a standard key done...all under $100.00, and was back in my hands in less than 2 weeks.

Does this work on all P38's?? I am searching for this code for my 1998 P38! I have to change the battery and I am worried that I might need the alarm reset!
