Call Scotty at So Cal Used Rover parts (socalusedroverparts.com). He is sourcing blocks for a guy in Missouri for rebuilds - should be able to help you out at a fair price.

I have a 4.6 block that needs to be rebuilt. I have asked around where I am at and no has done one before so I do not trust any of them yet. I assume you are looking for a new or already rebuilt block right?

Rob - if you are not in a hurry I can give you a contact who will rebuild your block. I think he has at least 2 or 3 blocks on the slate already, so there would be a wait. But he'll take the work and can offer some options like Crower cams and such.

You could ship it to him or exchange for another.

Chris- I am not in a hurry. I expect another 100K out of the one I have now. I just want it done in case I need it. I am trying to keep my wife from forcing me to sell it right now since I have four cars.

No problem Rob. I gave him a heads up you might be getting in contact with him.

His current engine build is pretty cool, looks like he'll be able to choke a few more ponies out of the 4.6 with the cam upgrade. When my 4.0 bites it, I'll be switching to one of his rebuilt 4.6's.

I will contact him and see what he says as far as pricing. I just started toying around with a friend in England who has just picked up a wrecked Diesel P38 and is parting it out. I may try to go that direction if the importing is not all that expensive.
