Hello

I am a potential 1st time Land Rover owner. I have a chance to get a used 2002 Range Rover - black w/black with around 27K miles on it. I don't put a ton of miles on a car each year, so I am looking to have a fun vehicle for my short commute.

Who manufactured the 2002 RR engine? Is it something that will be very costly to repair when/if problems occur?

I am also considering a 2004 Discovery II SE7 or possibly a 2005 LR3.

Does anyone urge me NOT to go for the 2002 RR? Any thoughts would help.

I am an owner of a '02 Range black on black and let me tell you I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I bought the car in may of this year I haven't had any problems with it except when I bought it the navigation didn't work, but I that fixed for free. So all in all go with the Range Rover

 

Go for the Range Rover, you wont regret it!

 

personally i would go with an LR3

 

the motor i believe is BMW

RR = winner if nothing else, for a status symbol with the chicks

 

if its just a cruiser and for around town might as well go with the LR3, brand new, warranty, and decent fuel milage for a LR.

 

Range Rover by far. I have a 93 Range Rover LWB and 01 Disco for the wife. Getting her a Freelander but by far the Range Rover gets more attention even though it is an aged warrior.
