I think $4k is a bit high for a '93 with 140k miles. It had better be in perfect condition both mechanically and cosmetically. I bought a '97 4.6 HSE in great condition for $4k and mine only has 100k miles. If you look around you can find a lot of RR in that price range so I wouldn't settle for one that isn't in excellent condition. If you do a search on here you can find any info you are looking for.

yeah, 4k is actually a rip off unless it has been fully restored. Is it an lwb or swb? The lwb should have air suspension, or it might have had it swapped with coils, which is fairly common. The classics are very good but very weird rovers. Each one of them tends to have their own personality, due to the good old Lucas electrical system.

I still can't believe they used Lucas on the Concorde.

You can find some decent ones for around 2K if you look for them. At 4K it better be in fabulous condition and have a big folder of service records.

Well offer him 3K and see what he says. If it was owned by the dealership owner then it probably was maintained very well and I am sure used OEM parts, that is if it is from a Land Rover dealer.
