Newbie Here. I've searched the threads and can't find a good answer so thought I'd post.

I am buying a 2nd vehicle for the family and think I am going to pull the trigger on a used RR. I have a budget of $20k and have been looking on ebay and some of the local dealerships.

So far I think I am going for a 05/06 however recently I've noticed that for that same price range, there are several LR3's available.

The LR3's seem to have lower miles in the price range however I wouldn't think the difference between 80k miles and 100k is enough to offset a range rover with an LR3?

I would love to get a RR however am wondering is there a reason I should be looking into an LR3 instead?

Any advice on choosing between the two? I guess I am asking if I should choose lower miles or go with the RR?

We are looking to replace my passat wagon with an LR3. We were looking at range rovers for the wife but she really wants a 3rd row..that was the deciding factor.

 

Ha! My wife just traded her 4runner (with 3rd row) in for a passant tdi. We thought we needed a 3rd row however she just got a job which requires a lot of driving.

I was the "car driver" in the family bu now were switching. Therefore I get a range rover!
