Default No HVAC or radio

Last night while driving, I lost my HVAC display and the radio went dead (blower fans stopped and no sound from stereo) but otherwise drove fine. I shut off the truck, restarted and the displays (blower fans) came back on. This morning, no HVAC or radio display, but the red security light on the radio is blinking as if the key wasn't in the ignition. It is not wet under the right front seat. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Check the engine bay fuse box on the RH side of engine bay.
They can play up due to corrosion and or cracking causing all sorts of electrical dramas.
Also check the relays in the same box.

Thanks Rich. I did check the fuse box. All looks fine. The more research I do seems to indicate that a relay is blown in the BECM. Anyone know if the BECM can be swapped out or does it require reprogramming?

You can swap it , but the odometer reading on the replacment becm if higher than yours will up date the instrument cluster or vice versa if its lower.
Also your key remotes wont work.If you know of anyone who has a rovacom diag unit there is a way of blanking the replacment becm and reloading the settings from the defective unit.I think you will find the BECM
is not the cause of the problem.

That's great to know, Rich. I'm taking my truck to a indy rover shop this afternoon. I will let you know how I make out. Thanks for your help.

Rich: You hit the nail on the head. It turned out to be a bad fuse box under the hood. Thanks for your good insight.

I went to Import Specialists in Dumont NJ. www.roverspecialist.com Their hourly rate is $100/hr, which I think is high for an indy, but they know what their doing when it comes to Rovers. Who do you use?
