Thank you men. There sure are many filters that you all trust out there. Thanks to your input I know which ones to stay away from. I had been using the K and N for years but wanted to hear from other RR drivers. Many thanks!

I have used the 3001 for years and over the last year have switched to the Mobil-1- 301, pretty much the same exact filter except for the case and made to the same specs at the same company as the K&N, just $2 less.

Second choice is Baldwin B2, also top rated, but they are about $7.
I may switch to the Baldwin. I found them on line for about $3.50 and free shipping depending on qty. Need to see if I can find the website again.

Ah, here it is:
https://truckhelp.com/shop/product/baldwin-b2/
If you decide to order them please order a significant quantity (I'm ordering 10). They will do free shipping even on one, but it won't take long for them to discontinue free shipping if people take advantage of them..

Well, I ordered some B2's from TruckHelp. Ordered them Monday and they shipped them Monday. They got here Friday (there're on the opposite side of the country from me).
They didn't send a confirmation email so I rang them Wed to make sure they and gotten the order. I gave him my order number and it took the guy a few seconds to look it up.

Anyway, hard to beat $3.64 for a top quality filter, I'm happy.

K&N normally, but have used Napa Gold
No issue with either, but I like the bolt on top of the K&N for loosening the filter

Looks like they got slammed by people buying just one or two and getting free shipping. Glad I got a case when they were $3.50. Price is now $5.25 and free shipping only on over $50.
I'll probably switch back to WIX 51515 when I've used them all since I can get WIX locally for under $5.

I'm very curious; why so many discussions/debates about oil & filters lately?

Well, both of the ones recently are actually old threads. I was just providing an update.
But there always have been and always will be.

Oil is something a guy decides to do for his truck. If you speak badly of his choice, it is like saying he made a mistake, or his rims look sissy, etc. There are so many choices. We don't get this for white lithium spray lube. Or even grease cartridges.
