Default P1703 Transfer box line open fault...WTH is that?

I have a code that keeps popping up, it is for the transfer case I guess but I have no clue where to look for the line open fault. Any ideas of what to do or if you have ever had this one show up before.

Thanks.

I assume you already checked the transfer case's functionality. Probably just a sensor acting up.

Yeah I checked it, the transfer case works just fine. That is why it was so frustrating and I have no idea where to look for the sensor. I have looked under there and everything seems in tact but it still gives it to me now and then.

I guess I just keep the scanner in the truck to clear it whenever it comes up.

Might be something in the H-Gate... That or something in the t-case itself. Maybe the line is slacking a bit and not fully engaging the sensor. I honestly don't have much of an idea as to where to start. So I am kinda just throwing out possibilities.

Thanks for the suggestions. I figure it is just something that is not fully completeing the circuit on the sensor so it thinks there is an issue. I will play around with all the connections again and maybe put some dielectric grease on it just for fun. Maybe it will go away and maybe not.

It does not have a consistent fault so it must be just a stary signal or something.
