P38 2001 Engine
Need a new engine, which option is the question.
1. Dealer, long Block
2. Dealer, Short Block
3. Local shop used engine but swap all the new parts I have already put on the car.
Also what is a good number for this?
Price is from $3,500 to $10,800.00 real BROAD range even for a guess.

Mr. George, while you can afford any of these options, since you have so many horses in the barn, you might not get enough miles of use on just this one, and might consider the used engine/local shop. Probably more negotiating room there, maybe even throw Mutley II in the deal... maybe the mechanic always wanted a Disco...

What is wrong with your old engine, is it a 4.0 or a 4.6 and does it have secondary air?
Rover landparts.com has engines in the 63,000 mile range for @2850 to $3250 that have been gone thru prior to being cleaned and crated that would be a much better engine then that used one you have mentioned.
