Default P38 2001 Engine AGAIN

New engine overheated Yesterday. Put only 225 miles on it. Back to the shop to fix.
The following is what was done to this cooling system
1. Engine
2. Radiator
3. Hoses
4. Water Pump
5. Thermostat
6. Hoses ALL
The only thing that I can GUESS is a CLAMP or HOSE came loose
Got the dreaded RED LIGHT, SLIGHT valve rattle, and tuned it off. It restarted no real NASTY NOISE but this is why you have an INSURED shop do the major stuff and back it up with a Warranty.
This is getting real Stupid with this one. We have counting the engine sunk in $16,000.00 into this restoration.

Sorry I jinxed you... may want to plug in your code scanner for a few days after repair and monitor coolant temp digitally. No point going to to 235F and higher, you can turn it off at 220, etc. The scanner will react before the imitation temperature gauge.

I was GOING to put in the Ultra Gauge but this happened on a 3 mile loop. House, drug store back my shop ALMOST. It was about 80 deg outside, no factor, it was idling at the drive thru for about 10 min waiting and then it went up.
Hope these engines are not like the V12 Jags, 235=Junk Yard

Lower hose clamp BROKE, Worm drive clamp and the screw fell out popping the hose off and making Tea.
Now is the new engine damaged or not is the question?

Probably not since you caught it quick. If it is, should show up pretty soon once you start some freeway driving. Minutes to days vs. months...
