I purchased a used OEM sub on ebay that only lasted for a couple of months and now I am back to square one with no sub in the truck. I just disected my spare sub it appears that there are some cheap 6 1/2 two way speakers in the box. Has any one replaced there speakers in the sub? It looks straight forward and fairly cheap versus having a custom sub built for that stealth look.

 

The only hitch I can see in swapping out the 2 subwoofer speakers is making sure the mounting holes match up or make sure there is clearance to drill new mounting holes. Changing the speaker leads to match your new ones should be easy.
