Default P38 Sunroof Problem

On my '97 4.6 HSE the driver's side of the sunroof will not go up or down. It stays in the same location that it would need to be in for sliding back and forth. The passenger side still works fine. At first I thought there might be motors that do the vertical raising and lowering, but when I pulled the headliner and sunroof yesterday (the headliner needs to be redone very badly) I observed how it operates, and it looks like it all comes from the same motor. My question: Does anyone have any idea what this could be and how to repair it?

Thanks!

You will need to replace the sun roof track and tray combination. Once done, make a point of cleaning and lubing the tracks and lift arm twice a year. Here is a good site to but a guaranteed used assembly and save alot of money. http://www.roverlandparts.com/index....S&Category=373
