The console and seats fit with a little work. You have to drill a couple new holes for the seats. I just did this for my classic. I love the manual seats. If you haven't cut your current console for your LT230 swap you may have to. When you engage the locking diff the hole for the Borg Warner is too narrow. That lever simply moves back and forth.
I swapped in a later console in my other Classic and I'm probably going to do it in this one too. The other one was cut short keeping the panel were the radio lives intact. This one I'm going to keep full length and relocate the radio under seat to be controlled via Bluetooth. If you've ever tried to fit an after market radio in that stupid *** location you'll see what I mean.
That’s slick! I spent an hour reading various posts about how the seats and console would or wouldn’t work. So I scrapped the idea.
You’re right about the gear shift for the lt230 not fitting in the comsole correctly. I put it through it’s paces & left it in 4-hi until I could come up with a better solution. Love the pics-thanks!
If I remember correctly you have to build up the rear mounting base for the console. I believe I used a very short 4x4 painted black. Then mounted the lower rear trim to it. You’ll see what I mean when you take it apart.
