Default Side Steps, Running Boards

Hi
I have found the module under dash on RH side.

We now have a CAN fault and the side steps still not working but all the DTC's have gone except U-0416-68, which is vehicle dynamics control module, signal invalid. Any ideas? Looks like the can bus circuit i presume.

check can lines for issues. make sure there are no fault issues with anything else.

although, check the wires on the passenger side seat make sure there isn't any water intrusion.

Default Side steps

Hi

Yes there is a fault with the TPMS system which I believe is on the same can bus system, these both are generating faults.

The code we are getting is U-0416-68

Just wondering if any more thoughts on this problem being linked to the TPMS system?

I know this is a really old thread and as a rule I hate reviving threads on forums, however, my car is exhibiting exactly the same symptoms as you describe here.

I've replaced the ECU, the switch, I've checked the wiring loom for continuity and am getting nowhere.

They worked on Christmas Day, then on Boxing Day they did nothing.

Did you ever find a solution to your steps not working?

Thanks,
David.
