Rear Window Screen Washer
Ok, no question is a dumb question so here I go. Where do you put the rear window screen washer fluid in a P38? I have looked in the manual and I cannot find the reserior tank.
It is the same tank as the front, it just uses a different pump to send it back there. Remember it may take a minute to get there since it travels so much further. Also you may have a bad connection to the rear pump so you may want to check that too.
My rear washer pump went out last week. Checked the connections and the anti-drainback valve, they were ok. Swapped out the headlight washer connector and line with the ones on the rear washer pump, and it that pushed fluid out to the window. So its a bad pump. Might want to try that trick to help troubleshoot.
Note, if doing this either drain the tank or prepare for a wet sleeve when you swap the rubber lines. I chose wet sleeve since that's the easier of the two.
Access is fairly easy by removing the right front fog light. Be prepared for a bit of a fight with that.
