Hi,

CAN ANYONE TELL ME A WAY TO GET THE RED SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT TO TURN OFF IN MY ROVER? THE DEALER WANTS AN HOUR OF LABOR. I HAVE TRIED GOING TO ADVANCE AUTO BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO READ ANY CODES.

ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Don't know which state you are in, but the California smog test guy I went to three times a year ( six cars ) read the code and cleared it for me. At the beginning I have doubt when he told me to bring him the Rover to read out the code, he said his $50K machine should be able to read it. I did not pay him anything but yours may want a small charge. It will take 5 minutes after he find the OBDII connector, which is at the passanger side of my 99 RR and not the driver side like most car.
