Stepping on Brake(98 4.6HSE) triggers 3 lights to flash on Instrument Panel?
Hello all...
Symptom: When I'm driving and step on the brake (not every time, but it seems to happen after I haven't stepped on brake for at least 30-60 seconds...but still doesnt happen every time), it makes the 3 lights on the left hand side of the dash (srs, ABS, etc) flash simultaneously for a split second then turn off.
What the heck is this??

I have the same problem in my '02 and I was told it's a sign of the ABS accumulator going out. It's about a $250 part on atlanticbritish.com, I haven't gotten a quote from a shop though.

Be more specific about exactly what lights come on, the SRS light you mentioned is not a brake warning light.
