I have a sales brochure for the '03 RR and it seems there was a factory subwoofer option available. As I don't have the '04 literature I'm not sure if it was still available this year. I want to put a sub in but want it to be unobtrusive in the cargo area. Is there a factory unit available for '04 and if so are they any good andwhere could I get one? If not, what aftermarket units have you guys used that areeffective andcould be considered somewhat stealth in appearance?

 

it should be there already, never seen one without, not many base line cars came to the states. it sits in the lr of the car, if you remove the large cover on the side, that covers up the navigation, you can see it in there, towards the front of the vehicle.

 

Sadly, you're correct, it's there. Bass is pretty subdued, didn't even realize I had a sub. Guess the next question is, what are folks doing to enhance bass output without adding big obtrusive enclosures?

 

in your tone settings screen, theres a controll for it, you can turn the sub level up, they generally sound pretty good... i have seen them, and their respective amp fail, you might be looking at a problem

 

Sub definitely is working, just more subdued than what I've had in the past. I'm not finding any adjustments for it in the tone control screen, just treble, bass, fade, balance; doesn't seem to be any options beyond those.
