Transferbox Neutral Error - Sensor Location
#21
L322, transfer box neutral - Fuse 37 solution.
I was getting the message TRANSFER BOX NEUTRAL. Online research seem to indicate that I needed a Fuse 37 recalibration.
Note:
Weird noise every time I changed gear.
Car would not move
Solution:
Check fuse 37 slot. If fuse was inserted previously, remove fuse from slot 37. Set automatic gearbox in neutral position, switch ignition to on. shift gear and test to see if the issue is resolved.
if no fuse in the slot, fit spare into position 37 in main fuse. Change gear to neutral and switch ignition on. Switch ignition off. Remove fuse from position 37. Switch ignition on. Drive rover to perform at least 3 high to low to high shifts cycles at permissible speeds.
re-calibration method.

Hi Jason:
did you ever figure this error message out?
I just got the same error message on my 2003 Land Rover Range Rover HSE.
I am also getting a "trans failed safe" error message.
I am thinking about having a mechanic replace or repair the "transfer box".
It only took me three years to figure this out, after having three mechanics trouble shoot and all determine there is nothing wrong with transmission
Range Rover has become a new hobby.
Respectfully,
Tim
