Default Went to get Rover serviced and....

I just took my RR yesterday for service at the local dealer for a couple of warranty issues and one was to replace the rear drivers side window regulator. I picked it up and then let my wife drive it. She could not get the power mirrors to work and was unable to adjust her mirrors. They must of either did something wrong or blew a fuse. I live 1.5 hrs away and called them. They say they will send a tech to my house or flatbed the truck to the dealer Monday. We'll see... They have admitted fault.

It seems like when I take this truck to the dealer, I am really not confident with them. One of the service advisors is very arrogant and borderline rude, and then there is one that is as nice as can be. It is frustrating.

I get mine serviced at Land Rover in Cary, NC.

You might want to discuss that with the manager of the dealership.... Mine (in Colorado Springs, CO) has been great in the eight years I've dealt with them. I've also had those same issues with my 2003 RR (thank goodness for the extended warranty).

Most of the people at my local dealership are great however, I do not have the greatest faith in the service dept. I usually have to get the service manager and GM involved when I deal with them. Lately I have been using a great local mech. shop that specializes in Land Rovers. He on the other hand, has been nothing short of fantastic!

Let me remember driver side rear range rover and passenger rear freelander. Seems that is the way it always goes. They where testing it (trainee) and diconnected the plug on the drivers door switch assembly, pull the panel and plug it back in. scott

Service really ranges from dealer to dealer (no pun intended) but in general I have found service not to be as good as with the other cars I have owned. Lexus in particular has steller service but even BMW and Mercedes have done very well in my book in my area.

Luxury1, I was wondering if I was the only one who thought that. Yes! BMW service as well as Mercedes are far better. I feel they are more accomadating, nicer, and just a better experience. I phoned these guys today and now they will not send a flatbed to pick the truck up. Changed their minds I guess! Very frustrating.

Audi is very excellent at service issues too. Call the dealer back and remind them that they promised to send tech or truck, and tell them you have been waiting all day for both and see what they say to that.
