wont start battery is new alarm ??
hello, all
my rr '95 JUST WONT START AS IF ITS NOT IN PARK IT HASMY MACHNIC
SICK HE HAS NO CLUE AND I HATE TO HAVE TO TOW IT ALL THE WAY TO THE DEALER . ANY IDEAS PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!US.

Be more specific, does the engine turn over, just not start or is it totally dead? Do all you other electrical things work, have you actually checked the battery, how many volts in it?

Is this rover a P38 or classic? How do you know it thinks that it is not in park? Is the gear selector calibrated properly? BTW it doesn't have to be in park to start it, it can also be started when in neutral.
