Default 00 Disco fix-up

New here. Own 2ndHand 00 Disco. Love it - had a 95 lease and came back. I have a few minor probs that I want to repair as money comes in and appreciate insights of the board on each. Replaced my rear air suspension (both), front axel, radiator, tension pullys, valve cover and intake seals.

1) ABS modulator failed (shuttle valve per 2 dealer shops) - saw on-line company in FL that remanufactures these for around $500 w/1 yr warranty. Warranty says it all for me, my mech says no prob installing. Any worries?

2) Cruise control failure - likely cause diaphragm? I wanted to DIY, if there is a reliable way to identify prob w/o scantool.

3) MOST ANNOYING - factory foglights do not go on below around 70 degrees ambient temp. Checked relay by swapping with several others, actuator switch will not light when lights won't.Tapping on fuse/relay box in engine compt did nothing. It seems as if a slightly cooler, but wet day drops temp requirement to around 60! Lights mounted on brush bar - should I check for corrosion on hot and grounds - would this feed back to actuator switch and show no light condition?

Thanks to all. BTW, have a great mechanic here in Huntington, New York - master in Jaguar, but many years w/LR. Pricey, but one time gets it done right.

Default RE: 00 Disco fix-up

Some people will replace their own shuttle valve, $100 in parts and a couple hours working thru it.
As for the cruise control, check all the systems vaccum lines including the one to the switch located on the brake pedal arm.
Can't help you on the fog lights.
Check your front drive shaft, make sure all 3 u-joints have grease fitting, if not have the shaft rebuilt using greasable u-joints so you won't experience one of Rover's more expensive and painful failures.
