Default 01 discovery will not start

Hello, it seems like you know what you're doing. I have an 01 Discovery with the v8 that I also got as a repo. I got it for a very good price but I knew that it didn't run. I never got a key with the truck so when I started trouble shooting I had to take the ignition apart to bypass the ignition lock. I have everything I need to get a key made but i don't want to spend the money if I don't have to yet. When I took it apart I was able to get it to turn over but no spark. I found a blown fuse in the inside box. Now I have spark but no fuel. I checked the inertia switch and it was fine. I tried jumping the relay but still nothing. I'm beginning to think I need a new pump but I don't know if the ignition switch needs to be turned for the pump to work. I would be grateful for any help you could give. I've spent a lot of time on this one. Thank you.

The relay is the last thing power goes through to the pump. So if you have power at the relay and you jumped the relay and still no fuel pressure, then you are either out of fuel, or the fuel pump is dead.

Is there any way to put power straight to the pump to see if it is bad? I testes the terminals where the relay plugs in, I first tested them with the ignition off and one of them had 12 v. I then turned the ignition on and no change. That one terminal had 12 v and the other three didn't really show anything.

fairly easy to get at the pump....remove the rear door floor trim piece and roll up the carpet some, there's an access plate to the pump under the carpet.....easy to get at from there ....and no need to remove or drop the tank
