02 Range Rover Heater Core Issue!?!?!?!? Thoughts Please!!!
Hey fellas and ladies. I just took my 02 Range Rover in to the dealer to look at a coolant/antifreeze leak that was coming from under the passenger side running board and also a bit coming into the passenger front floor board. I figured that it was the heater core leaking and possibly the O Rings. They diagnosed the issue as the O Rings being fine and just the heater core needing to be replaced. They estimated the cost at $2413.00. I was wondering what you guys feel about this and if this estimate is fair. Any feedback would be greatly appreiciated.
Thanks,

Maybe fair by dealers standards, it is a bugger of a job, but I would call around to a few shops and get a couple of estimates to make sure.

After sitting for about 4 days and coolant leaking into the front passenger foot well does that mean that this is my problem, or can it be another issue? I had a coolant leak before and it was a loose tube, but I just checked the level today and it's low, and after sitting since Sunday I notice some coolant in the front passenger foot well.
so that estimate is JUST for heater core o-rings? no core right?
in the early days you had to remove the whole dash board to do this job
than someone fig. out that you can just cut a hole behind a panel and
due the job in about four hours with about 100 dollars in parts.
if its just o-rings you getting taken.
if it's the core too it seems about right.
