'03 Disco - SES
My '03 Disco just started with a 'Service Engine Soon' light and is running rough; possibly like a clogged injector.
Any help is appreciated and I apologize in advance if there are previous postings on this. I looked around, but couldn't find anything.

Thanks!

The codes I got are: P0306, P0301 and P1300. According to the Autozone guy those indicate a misfire in the 1st and 6th cylynders and an ignition misfire. I bought new Bosch plugs and replaced the old ones, but it does not appear to have fixed the issue, as I still get the light and rough idle.
The Disco only has 37k miles on it.
Any thoughts??

Usually 92, but sometimes 89 octane. Yeah, I really was surprised to have this problem all of a sudden. We haven't had it a year and it came off a lease. I've been really good to it...just one of those things.
So, in looking through some other posts, it appears that changing the plugs is a bit rough. Is it worth attempting or do you advise going to a shop or dealer?
Thanks for your help Mike!

Do you have a GOOD friend who is very mechanical? It is not a hard job, but because of the secondary air system, the intake manifold must come off to gain access to the coil packs.
I have a great local shop I could approach. They are ASE and AAA certified and work on foreign vehicles a lot. With the codes being dispayed, is there anything else it could be?
I have already ordered the Magencore 8mm wires I saw you recommend in another posting string. Do you recommend getting the coil packs as well?

I got the Disco looked at by a local shop and they have found the issue to be a bad coil. They are quoting about $500-$600 for the whole job, including replaceing the intake manifold gasket. Does this sound right?
The shop ran a diagnosis ($60) and replaced the ignition coil and plug wires ($194 for coil, $130 for wires + $255 for labor). I also had them put in a new Interstate battery, replacing the original for $98. The Disco is back on the road and running great.
