Default 03 Disco troubles?

I have an 03 disco and it has 75k miles on it. Was running like a charm til a couple months ago and the front moon roof stopped working and the head light bulbs blowed twice in a month. And then i was driving it 3 days ago and it died while driving,i got it started back up and got it back home but the entire 4 mile drive the sport mode light and the actual little light on the D next to the gear shift were blinking and the service engine light was also blinking. Anyway,i bought a code reader thing from autozone and im getting a code saying crankshaft sensor error. My question is,could the crankshaft sensor be the problem or could it be something else electrical causing all the problems including saying the crankshaft sensor is bad? Also,it will start but rpms are going high while idling and the only light that comes on is the check engine light and it is steady and not blinking.. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The crank sensor is the number #1 100% going to go bad on a DII thing you can count on.
They usually fail in the 70-80k range.
You can buy it at AutoZone, over in the DII section there is a write up on how to replace it.
