1996 Land Rover Discovery advice needed
Wasn't sure if I should start a new thread or not but this is about a 96 Disco also so just thought that I would post here. I found a 96 with a manual transmission, normally I would jump on that over an automatic anyday but was wondering if their was a reason why almost all Disco's you see are automatic and if so why?
My guess is that the it's because Disco was considered a "luxury" vehicle, much closer to the Range Rover than the Defender. Particularly here in the states, automatics are more popular in general.

'96? was the last year they imported trucks with a 5-speed.
I don't talk on the cell phone while driving, don't eat fast food, and is their really a illegal size drink in NYC, I love driving sticks, I really miss it.
