1996 Range Rover 4.6 Issues...Help!

I just registered my 1996 RR 4.6 HSE. It has about 147k on it but in great condition. Recently I have came across a few problems that are making me worried.
First off the transmission is up to something because I have to start to move the car in Low Gear 1 and then after 15 MPH bump it up to D and its fine from there. What could this be related to?
The second problem is the Air Suspension. Maybe I have not been giving it enough time to warm up and adjust but it does not want to seem to level off to normal position while driving. At times it stays in "Access" mode and then I get a warning on the message center saying "Max Speed 35 MPH" and when I looked in the book it said this means a major fault in the Suspension and to seek qualified help immediately. Is that always the case or am I doing something wrong.
Lastly, something seems to be draining the battery. I will charge it for 4-6 hours and then the next morning the battery wont budge. There does not seem to be any interior lights left on and I've tried a few things...any help would be great!
Thanks for any help! Greatly appreciated
Chad

if its going into access mode and randomly comes out it could be a height sensor issue. Or the button is broke. You could also have issues with the air suspension. The drain will have to be detected to see what the draw is. The transmission I would have to see it actually happen. perhaps first gear is gone or second gear?
