How the heck do I get the cover off? I don't want to break anything! It has wires coming out of either side......and geez it was dirty in there so it got a good clean out!
Yes I don't want to force anything in case I break it!

The SHIFT **** is what you need to take the cover off of, that is what you use to change gears, the thing with the button on the side that you push in to change gears.
Use a small flat head screwdriver to pry the cover off.
It is NOT the thing with the "PRND321" on it.
