Default 1997 LR Disco ABS Issues

My old '97 had a brake job done about a year and a half ago after which the service guy couldn't get the ABS light to turn off. since there were always a couple of lights on anyway, i didn't care.
5 months ago, the brakes got super soft and they pulse when applied. truck stops but it's like everything is manual. i'm assuming the ABS comp or something is done. this is not a daily driver but need to drive it a little more while servicing another vehicle so need to know where i may be able to potentially pick up used parts. i'm in Ontario, Canada.
thanks.
Matt

Did you check the ABS fuse under the hood? Could be dead or the previous owner may have removed it entirely.

if you pull the fuse that's in the underhood fusebox...that will disable the ABS system and the brakes should function normally then as a non-abs system.....the dash light will stay on untill you remove the bulb........"normal" brakes are better than unpredictable intermittent ABS ones....this way you can drive it till you can get it sorted out...
