2001 Disco 2 hesitating, then stalling
Hi guys, I have a 2001 Disco 2 4.0 V8. A few weeks ago I was towing my trailer to work and when I accelerated from a stop, the vehicle stalled and would not start again. Had it towed to my mechanic, who then had no trouble starting it. Then he let it warm up by driving it, and it stalled again. We replaced the crank angle sensor. Now, the truck will randomly stop accelerating when you hit the gas, then go again. This morning I couldn't break 20mph, then I heard a click from the rear, then I could go faster again with occasional bucking. 5 minutes later, the truck stalled again. My mechanic (and myself), are at a loss. Any suggestions?

Throttle position sensor - mechanic can observed % reading on scanner, see it change smoothly when pedal is moved.
IACV has to be clean for idle to work (or returning to idle). Use made for IACV spray when engine is cold and key has not been turned on (which warms up the innards of the sensor).
Keep old crank sensor just in case you break down one day....
