Default 2001 Disco Brakes....

Hi all, I've just bought a low mileage 2001 Discovery in excellant shape EXCEPT the brakes are spongy, the pedal travel seems a bit long and, yes there is always an "and"....the brakes and rotors are high performance upgrades, the slotted rotors are warped yet not old. I'm reluctant to buy new rotors/pads until needed but hate the warped rotors. I plan to bleed the brakes this weekend but since this is a new car to me I don't know what is "normal" for it. Any help or advice would be great...thanks alot!

Do a full brake bleed, up to 4 pints of DOT 4, if you still have a problem, send me your number and I'll call you.

Thanks Mike, I'm gonna bleed them this week and I'll let you know. I figure I'll just have to put up with the juddering in the rotors until I need to do the pads and rotors, don't really have the extra to spend on that right now unless I have to.

Thanks!

if you dont have money for the full set than at least replace the pads so they don't warp the rotors and cause you to have the three amigos
