Is your service engine light on?

This may not be your problem however, I had the exact problem with a Camero back in the day, I was told I had a pin hole in my radiator hose and it was causing the engine to vapor lock, after the engine cooled down it would fire right up fine until it got hot again then it would shut down. Changed both hoses - refilled fluid, never happened again.

Mindo, you may have a crank sensor failing. Just to make sure I read you right, the engine will crank but not start up? This will cause what you are describing and yet not throw a code.
