I had an issue with the thermostat and battery do I replaced both, but the truck sat for a month before repairing it. Other than over-heating and keeping a charge on the battery, I had no other engine issues.

After I replaced the thermostat and battery, it won't turn over. The starter doesn't do the clicking sound and it doesn't wind at all. just a click and single wind when I turn the key. It's been cold, but not freezing, but could it be the water in the block? There's currently no antifreeze because of the over-heating.

Any help would be appreciated.

 

Ok, I got it started. It was the immobilizer. But, now it's smoking something fierce. I assume it's from it sitting and it will go away? Or do I have a different issue?
