I have a 2003 land rover Discovery HSE i have this huge problem with it want to see if anybody knows whats wrong.... ok so I took it to the local mechanic where they fix Land Rovers BMW etc. they said there is no pressure from the oil pump going up to the engine they put a new one on still doing the same thing what could be wrong with this truck????

Certain D2s have an outboard oil cooler mounted lower front of radiator area, near tranny cooler. From the RAVE manual (cooling section):
Obstructed cooler or oil line to/from would do that, and it certainly can also on a D1 where the cooler is built into the radiator on the right side of the vehicle.
There have been other posts to suggest that it would be possible to bypass the cooler with serious hoses and clamps or adapters, as later models don't have it. If going that route might want to consider jumbo oil filter to gain back some volume of oil.

Just pointing out that if you bypass a factory oil cooler, if so equipped, you can make up some of the volume lost with a slightly larger filter, I run a WIX that is double the length of the standard filter. But the truck with no oil pressure has other issues to solve before worrying about that. I would suppose that the techs working on the truck may have already swapped filters to eliminate that (most filters have a bypass valve inside and can't obstruct 100%).

There have been posts about the oil pickup tube coming loose and falling off in the oil pan, and pick up being obstructed with gunk, and entire engine being obstructed with small pieces of RTV rubber from over zealous previous mechanics that put on way too much gasket sealant. Hope your problem is much simpler. Are they doing a mechanical pressure test or just depending on the warning light? And how did you come to believe that there was no oil pressure - can't drive very far that way...

There could be several things wrong... but one is not your oil pump. The oil pump works or it does not work and if it not working you car by now is also not running. You don't state miles on car but sounds like the engine is getting old and tired... in other words the engine is about wore out.
