2004 Discovery II - Engine Coolant Temperature

I hope that you guys are not running DexCool and have changed over to the green coolant.

I think that the current thoughts on Dexcool should probably be revisited. It's a more highly performant product than the green coolant and documented issues with it seem to focus on systems that were not maintained to specification with regards to time between flushes.

Caviat, I'm still running green coolant but when I get my new 30 over cannibal v8 I'll be switching back to Dexcool as per Cannibal's spec.

One more thing. mark, Durbin, I have an 04 disco with an 02 RR 4.6 in it, I have the same hot idle symptoms. I've been assuming it's an issue with the HG because I've replaced everything else in the cooling system except the temp sensor.

One common denominator that the 3 trucks share is no oil cooler, other than that, I am at a loss as to why I see spikes to 215ish on idle.
