I am hearing a chirping noise coming from the counsel and right side of interior of car when I open the drivers door before even putting key in ignition. I did call dealer service department and was told that it might be CPU fan located in engine compartment. I opened hood and sure enough the noise was coming from black box located in right front area of engine compartment. I am mechanically and electrically inclined. My question is how difficult would it be to replace the CPU fan and where would I purchase one. I am from Phoenix, Az. If anyone has any other ideas as to how to approach this problem it would be greatly appreciated.

open the box and take a look yourself. shouldn't be too bad. no directions from GTR.

 

There are two screws that hold it in. A long phillips screwdriver helps. You need to move a couple of relay brackets to get to it. It sits on the bottom and looks like a tiny hair drier. ibis1
