Default 2007 HSE Nav-Radio-Phone-Display Problems

Have had these problems since I purchased car (new) and have taken it in many times (San Diego) but no fix, no hints, no help. Warranty now nearly finished (48K) and system crazier than ever. HELP! Symptoms: All seem random and occur at startup. Initially radio wouldn't hold settings, eventually got 3 to hold but now NAV randomly switches voices from BRITISH male to BRITISH female (no option in setup for British female) and with each switch in voice the radio settings change. Display sometimes stays on even after key is removed and comes up after cold start w/o "agree" screen. "Phone not fitted" has come on - my phone (not a Nokia) that has paired successfully w/ it daily for 2 yrs indicates Rover Bluetooth is off (no option to turn back on). Display for all screens goes negative/grey and no alphanumerics appear, no buttons respond, and NAV screen shows rapidly moving black diagonal lines across white field (no map). Clock/date don't hold and require reset. System doesn't work in extremely cold weather. Last night system went completely dark then came on again later. Rear seat entertainment does not seem affected. Could it be the ignition switch interferring (static?) w/ computers? Thanks for your help. Pacifica.

I bet you got a water leak in the rear on the telephone module or something else.

And take it to another dealer if they haven't fixed it after two years. I have seen alot of the same issue and its either a nav update or a bad module.

Default Potential Fix

Thanks for your help. Yesterday the dealership replaced the phone module as it had apparently quit altogether. The shop lead provided great insights. For example, I did not know that only certain phone operating systems are approved to work with the car and that those that operate but that are not approved can cause some of these bizarre symptoms. My phone has an approved OS so that wasn't the problem and the dealership isn't 100% that replacing the phone module will solve all of these problems so if issues continue, on Monday they'll try again.

Default Bluetooth issues

I am having similar problems with my 07 LR3. The dealers I took it to in LA were unable to figure out the problems. I live in LA, which LR dealer did you go to that helped you out?

The all time best Land Rover maintenance department is in Las Vegas on Sahara. It's worth the drive and stay to avoid the hassle from dealers that can't or don't want to help. Ask for service rep John Simmons who is the principal reason I would buy another one of these persnickety vehicles. Good Luck!
