Phone display, bluetooth
Wondering if anyone can help me out with bluetooth. I have an '06 LR3, I also have a the iphone 3gs. The phone connects to the bluetooth with no issues. It does not however display the signal strenght or carrier?? Also my phonebook is not available and the redial recent calls does not work? The bluetooth does however work, you can receive or dial calls from the radio display??
Thanks
Thanks
First thing is the phone on the bluetooth list. What is the software version and the type of phone and model. if its not on the list then hey the phone works good luck. But if it doesn't the earlier ones didn't give everything. Signal strength no but I believe carrier should be listed. I believe. I don't have a manual in front of me. But the phonebook option can be downloaded if you want to from the dealer but you have to pay for it. Its an hour repgrm.

I also have an iphone that will only link up with the phonebook and make calls. I asked the dearship and the only way to get all the phone information is to attach the phone via the phone adaptor in the center console but heck if i know what kind of phone will fit that weird adaptor.
I'm sorry maybe I wasn't too clear on what works and doesn't work. The iphone is on the list with the latest and greatest software and is totally compatible. The only thing my phone does is connect and is able to recieve and dial calls. On the radio display the only thing that works is phone attached and then changes to bluetooth with a phone icon. I get no carrier name or signal strength displayed? I am unable to use the phonebook, recieved calls, dialed calls, memory options on the car side. Is this a land rover software upgrade issue? If so does anyone know what it costs to upgrade the software?
Thanks
Thanks
I have an iPhone 4 with OS 4.0.1. From what I read on the net and Land Rover's website the iPhone will only show the phone number display in the radio console. It will not sync your address book nor show address book caller ID on in coming calls. I'm guessing these blue tooths (teeth) were designed for Nokia phones on the 2005 to 2007 LR3's. If I'm wrong please let me know.

I just purchased an 08 LR3 and I have also test driven a ton of 06 and 07's. I believe that from 05-07 the iPhone will only receive and make calls, and will not sync contacts or history. However, from 08 and newer you will get the full sync. I currently have aniPhone 4 with iOS 4.2 and I was never able to sync on any 07 and older, but had no problems with the 08's and newer.
