Default 2008 LR2 Won’t Turn Over

2008 LR2 decoded it doesn’t want to turn over or do much of anything when the start button is pressed.
- no codes
- new battery (checked to be good)
- Starter ground is solid
- reset ECU
- no HDC messages
- radio and navigation work
- check-engine and battery lights come on after the failed start cycle.
- upon locking up the vehicle in abject frustration to go in and have a drink, I notice the red alarm light blinks in a series of three flashes for about a minute, then returns to the standard 1/sec flash
- unlock, insert key fob, and the alarm light blinks rapidly.
- no fuses blown
- Starter doesn’t spin.
- I think I hear the fuel pump doing its prime of the fuel system

I’m stationed three hours away from a dealer, and, quite frankly, it’s cheaper to push this damn thing into the ocean as a lobster house than it is to take it to a dealer.

So, how does this get fixed?

Questions I will not be answering:
- have you taken it to a dealer for new software?
- have you kept up with all required service?
- have you mailed your Land Rover dealer their annual blank check along with Christmas cookies?
- basically any question where a dealer is mentioned

OP has exactly one post, from three years ago. Doesn't seem likely that you will get a response.
Try searching in the LR2 subforum instead of this general one.
