Default 2010 rrs doa

Has anyone herd of problems with the 2010 RRS supercharged.I have a 06 RRS supercharged and my wife has a 06LR3 that have been great. My Father just bought a 2010 RRS SC and three weeks later he returned it to the dealer with engine problems. The result the motor was blown. I have never herd of this kind of thing on any car ever. Any feedback would be great.

Do not be affraid!
There is always a typical few "bugs in the system" when a newly designed engine comes out. The engine the dealer pulled was probably fixable, but Land Rover has a "black Box" policy on engines and other drivetrain components. They want that entire motor returned to them regardless how minor or major the issue is so that they can do a product investigation! This is typical on a new model year vehicle.
There are many, many 5.0L direct injected engines running around problem free right now, you may have just been one of the lucky few to experience issues.
Hope this help!

agreed, in the beginning they want everything back and all the info they can get their hands on. In fact even the simplest of problems found at PDI get sent up to engineering immediately so they know if there is a problem on the fassembly line or further back.

Or they can use it to punish a guy on the line for seriously screwing up. Years ago Ford had a recall on windshields for noise cause someone on the third shift screwed up for a certain time period. We found out later they were not that bright and screwed up pretty good. But didnt affect us but it was kinda funny when you see a recall for only a certain time for something that gets loose or worse.
