Default 2010 rrs cpo

Hello everyone,

My wife's 2010 RRS has been a problem since we bought it CPO, back in April. She has driven loaners more than her Rangie. For 2-3 straight solid months now, we have been battling purge valve issues. Last week, we picked it up, and they were certain that they had it licked. Well guess what? CEL comes on again today.

Is there any protection at all from lemons afforded by a CPO designation? We've asked the dealer about taking the car back from us, but they say they will only buy it back for a good $10k less than we paid for it, back in April. Obviously, that won't work. So, would any of you kind folks happen to have any suggestions for us? We live in TN, and lemon laws here protect purchasers of new cars, but as far as I can tell, not those of pre-owned. Can you please help?!

Sell it privately. Dealers will always screw you. Now if you go to a non LR dealer with a clean car and no CEL light on you will get a better deal. If they don't know about the vehicle then you are in luck to a point. Owning for a little while and then getting rid of it spells trouble to a dealer. To a private owner just tell them you have bought the warrantee on it and then it can be transferred to them for a fee. But its up to you.
