Default 94 Range Rover fuel issues

So I have a 94 Ranger classic that is having fuel issues. if sprayed fuel it fire fine, but once it's out it's dead. I installed a new fuel pump from rovers north but still have the same issue went through and checked the fuses and switched the relay the only thing that I could not seem to locate was the inertia switch. I did try checking electricity at the wiring harness at the feel pump the gas gauge has power but is very weak enough that the needle will rise but light barely glowed. The other wire is dead I just did this with a check light. Any help would be appreciative would first like to locate the inertia switch and then try to track power at the relay if anyone knows how to do this would be greatly appreciated or any other help also is there a way of jumping to make sure that the new feel pump is actually good thanks
