'97 D1, front end Wobble...
So at hwy speeds I'm getting a wobble, pretty sure it's the front drive shaft, apparently I can get it rebuilt for $200, or buy new for $1200. Anyone had one rebuilt? Pros/cons? Thanks in advance.
A bad front propshaft won't cause wobble. It will cause a vibration.
Wobble is caused by one or more of these:
bad tires
worn suspension bushings
loose hub bearings
too light swivel pin preload
loose steering components
Note: A bad steering damper does not contribute to wobble.

Kind of nice though, this disco has lived it's entire life in AZ so there's no rust. But I'm a bit concerned with the DL, I've not tried throwing it into 4L yet, have a feeling it's never seen dirt and I'll wait and let my mech throw it into 4L, just in case it sticks.
