Default '98 D1 Transmission compatibility

Hi All,

I pulled a low mileage '98 d1 trans/tconverter/tcase/dshafts out a while back and was wondering what I need to mate to a '91 rrc 3.9l. I had read somewhere I might need the flexplate/flywheel which I didn't pull but can get if needed.

Thanks!

I think as long as the torque converter is paired with the correct flexplate spacer set you can interchange transmissions

Thanks. I guess the other part worth knowing is why AB and others selling two different transmissions, one for 94-95 the other 96-99. I know it would be a direct fit if I had pulled from a 94/95 but wondering what else, besides flexplate and tconverter, are different. Output shaft possibly.
