AC Problem

My 2002 discovery 2 AC will only work if I have the rear AC on

You need to be more specific.
What is not working, the front fan, the compressor???
Have you checked your fuses?

Mike the fan works the compressor works but you don't get cool air unless the rear AC switch is on. When it is turned on then you will get cool air up front
