Default ACE leak

Hello all -

Recently found a fluid leak coming from the lower ACE hose from the fluid reservoir (2001 Disco II). ACE fluid in reservoir is low - no leak from power steering side. I'm thinking the fix is a simple hose replacement but wanted to ask for recommendations first.

Also - what the best fluid to refill the ACE system?

Thanks!

Sounds like the return line or it's clamp need replacing.
You should flush the system to improve it's performance. If interested in what to do, PM me your tele number and I'll call you.

Definitely the hose - used a mirror/light and barely flexed the hose near the first bend from the reservoir and fluid came out clear as day. Already on order.

Default oil leak underneath

I have a 99 RR now. Just had oil pan leak fixed two years ago. now Im seeing oil leaks underneath and onto my garage.A mechanic said could be due to oil pressure distribution switch which he says need replaced. Im not sure if it is that though. I am not a mechanic but just having fan driving this car.

What does this have to do with an ACE, go post on the RR section if you want help.

You might want to clean it first before replacing the hose. Also I think its still best to you the fluid you already using.

@Karen - Already changed the hose and flushed the system. The original hose had an inch long crack near the first bend. ACE system working great.
